Podcasts are becoming my new thing. They are relaxing and especially in the evening it is very useful to not have any screen in front of you. I still find it hard to find the right ones for me, though I have some podcasts and podcast channels that I really like. Today I share some channels with you from which I think you can learn a lot and the tone of voice is very nice and inspiring to listen to.
I would like to mention that these podcasts are connected to topics like fashion, design and sustainability. Hence, connected to my personal interests.
The images are made myself using the covers of the podcasts.
. Smart Creation Podcast.
Smart Creation, the podcast, invites you to explore the potential of sustainable fashion. Are you interested in (sustainable) fashion? Than this podcast is definitely something you would like. The team invites key players in innovation and textiles, which is super inspiring! These podcasts are brought to you by Première Vision, THE fashion fair. I visited this fair last year, and it was lovely.
For the first time ever, the tales of Dior Perfumes are told in a Podcast series, Dior Untold. How interesting is that?! Dior has always been one of the brands that I see as special. They also share some behind the scenes on their social media and now they also talk about it in their podcasts.
99% Invisible is a weekly exploration of the process and power of design and architecture. With already 414 podcasts they have a lot of topics of interest. Their topics are relatable and recognizable, next to eye-opening. Get into the live of design regarding your personal live.
.De Universiteit van Nederland.
Yes, this is a dutch one, where the best scientists give answers to high-profile questions. In aroun 15 minutes you can learn about everything and get answers to questions like: what will the city of the future look like? Very interesting to listen to and you do not have to listen for a very long time.
From waste to wealth, and grids to growth, the show digs into the impact of consumption across all areas of life. A very good podcast series that will educate you about how we live and what the impact of our lives is on nature and ourselves. They talk about the effect of nature on our health and also the impact of bushfire smokes. It sometimes feels like listening to a documentary instead of ‘just’ podcasts.
Hopefully I have inspired you to listen to some of these great podcasts. I am always curious to learn more and I do think that podcasts are a good way to do so if you do not always want to read for example. I force myself to get off YouTube sometimes and just read a magazine or a book. Though listening would also fit in there. Sometimes a podcast can get me really sleepy, which can help with my night rest. I do believe that there are even sleep podcasts where celebrities talk you into sleep, you should look it up!
