Unwrapping gifts is always very exciting to do! And I also really like it to wrap gifts for someone else. There is only one thing I dislike a bit from current-day gift wrapping: the amount of waste. My grandmother always neatly opened gifts to re-use the wrapping. And that inspired me to work on new ways of re-usable wrapping: gift wrapping with fabric!
Today I will share 3 ways on how to wrap your gifts in a new, original and re-usable way! Wrapping with fabric is super unique and will give a new experience to opening up gifts.
.Knotted wrapping.
This one is most likely with the current-day gift wrapping. The main difference is that you don’t use paper, but fabric. The lovely thing about fabric is that it does not tear apart. This way you can knot it as I show you here in the pictures. There are some openings left in which you can put dried flowers or a sweet card for the one receiving this package.
You only need a sheet of fabric that is the same size as you usually make your wrapping. You can also use an old t-shirt for this one or the t-shirt that you want the receiver to get even!
.Linnen bag.
If you want to do something more than just making knots I could recommend this one. By making a sac (size does not really matter here) and fold it over when the present is inside. As a finishing touch, a stroke of fabric could be used to tie it all together. Since the bag is bigger than the present you can re-use it for all kinds of sized presents.
Today at 15:00 there will be a reels on my Instagram showing the steps in a short video!
.Fabric sac.
Something I do usually with paper wrapping is making a sac of the wrapping. And you can do this with fabric as well! Just sew two rectangles together with an opening on one side. And use some ribbons to tie it closed. This is an easy way to bundle some small gifts together! And the type of fabric and ribbon can give their own experience!
.Let’s start gift wrapping with fabric.
How cute! All the presents are wrapped uniquely and with a re-usable wrapping. Surprise the receiver with these unique present packing ways and encourage them as well to use re-usable wrapping! You can decide to leave the wrapping with the receiver. Or, when there is no interest in re-using it, take the wrapping back home again and re-use it yourself!
